Thread: Disabling splash screen in grub (watching boot process)

i troubleshooting startup issues - purple splash screen grub masking boot process. have been trying disable splash screen , display full boot process (similar how debian works).

have edited grub_cmdline_linux_default variable in /etc/default/grub file , removed quiet , slash entries. achieved 1/2 of goal. can see partial boot process on screen (similar logged in /var/log/boot.log).

still unable display first half of boot process on screen (i.e. similar captured in dmesg). after selecting desired boot entry in grub, left @ blank purple screen number of seconds. screen wish disable.

in advance help.
