Thread: Grub rescue (E: no such parition), dual boot 11.10/Win7, all partitions are missing.


i have problem potential loss of important data me, please me if can.

after reistalling ubuntu 11.10 got message:
no such partition.

messed mbr while reinstalling ubuntu 11.10. think install bootloader on wrong partition , ubuntu live cd , windows installation dvd see hdd unparition space , offer me format. partitions missing!!!

search solution 3 days recover data hdd, , in 1 moment ubuntu live usb manage mount partition (there 6 of them - win , ubuntu).

think install grub-pc (from 1 thread can't find now), run command , partitions able see in nautilus.

after reboot, partitions missing again, , can't find thread thats me.

there can me solve problem?
