Thread: Upgraded to 12.04, no wireless nor wired
i upgraded via upgrade manager 11.10 12.04. seemed go ok on reboot...no wireless nor wired network , cannot revive it. booted thru grub , tried "previous linux version" , voila, got wireless working. now, how can tell grub boot version. on "previous version" menu "generic" not generic-pae. "redo" install live cd wants me root directory. i'm dual booting win 7. indicated large ext4 unity wanted me "root". there 3 ntfs win7 , 3 ext4's plus swap...i tried puppy linux also. i'm lost.
can run unity grub have go thru "previous linux versions" , use generic(no -pae). tried recovery mode didn't seem help. also, there post using terminal , b43 , went thru since wired not working, couldn't repair it.
reinstall correct using live cd? if so, how reinstall/repair. little hand-holding here help. i'm not wizard on partitions so...
have 12.04 lts , able update it(generic) via wireless. have wired network attached not work in version. on dual-boot win7 acer aspire one.
with startup managernow, how can tell grub boot version.
