How can I programatically collapse an export menu?

for example: when exporting image there many settings, "file settings" , whatnot. how can trigger command "collapse" or "minimize" specific menu item? (this same function clicking on little black arrow near title of menu item).

i'd able in both export , plugin manager dialog boxes. don't know how either - i'm pretty sure you'll have try , comb through ag widget objects , have you, maybe emit mouse gestures... (i.e. no straight-forward way it, e.g. using sdk).
