Lens Detection - SIGMA 18-250mm F3.5-6,3 DC Makro OS HSM

hi guys

 

i purchased lens mentioned above universal , travel lens.

 

i did shots day , imported them lr4.

by default lens correction when importing lr4 detects lens "18-150" only, no make, no model.

 

i first thought: "damned, again problem, had stupid tamron lens" .... did import same raw (cr2) pictures in apple aperture , correct lens data here:

am doing wrong?

executive summary: can still tell lr use particular lens profile regardless, , make automatic.

 

in more detail: successful lens recognition, lot of things need lined up.

 

  • the lens manufacturer needs have lens report electronic id code camera, sufficiently unique - codes, 3rd party lens makers, might equally belong of several lenses.
  • camera manufacturer needs record id code images, in valid manner. interpretation needed camera here (for example. older lenses may not report kind of electronic id, , camera may have general kind of lens mount base information on).
  • lightroom needs take whatever code camera has written image, , compare against own list. images show given code, description written next in list. if happens vary actual lens used, lr has no independent way know that. functionally speaking, @ least pictures reporting id have been distinguished.

 

then: can control on lens correction profile gets associated id. if no profile @ applied; or wrong one; can intervene , manually select 1 want. can make selection happen automatically in future. done in setup menu within profile tab of lens correction panel: option called "save new lens profile defaults".

 

this tells lr use current image's profile selection template, other similar images in future (so far lr can tell lens id found) ... regardless of particular description may showing (perhaps, incorrectly) against lens.

 

it (separately) possible manually correct lens description, against imported images, despite failure of above 3 steps. example, there's lr plugin called "lenstagger".

 

but don't know if possible edit lr's recognition list, desired description in first place.

Adobe Acrobat Pro , Terminal Server Use

hello,   a fellow employee requires adobe acrobat pro installed use, , management me have sorted out. employee uses thin client connect terminal server of administration work.   i require single license adobe acrobat pro used single user.   will there license issues installing adobe acrobat pro on terminal server?   can install adobe acrobat pro on terminal server?   thanks, david hi david,   yes, can install acrobat terminal servers... !   the licensing terminal server considered normal licensing process, means need buy many number of licenses acrobat number of users accessing terminal server (like citrix) access software. eg if 10 users accessing citrix server @ particular time use acrobat software need 10 licenses same. when i try using AE CC 3d camera tracker after the first step it says "Analysis solve failed." help?

im attempting editor , trying edit segment video game (bo2) , im trying have text stick wall in video. every time try using camera tracker spends 5 minutes completing first step , guess succeeds because goes second step says "solving camera" or that, red bar appears saying "analysis solve failed." do? if you're trying use 3d camera tracker on movie froma vieo game not shot real camera, camera tracker unable solve "real" camera matched scene.
