my first cell phone , sorta..and the new rules of comms

years ago working on job 18 hour days in ( of places unlike planet earth ) new jersey. ask, 'what exit ? '... have no clue.

living in ny tremedous hardship , should have gotten hazard pay or special. crossing hudson go 'work' nightmare.

being in hoboken nightmare imo.  luckily live there seem have adapted well.  it's testament darwin's theory of animal husbandry hoboken has not self destructed yet.

 

anyway, girlfriend living me @ time ( in astoria, queens...which means yet river cross , nj ) insisted cell phone find out if ever coming home during week. got star tac motorola unlimited minutes in whole world ( took care of details me ).

that turned minor experience cell phones me ( first season of sopranos, it's long time ago )... because there no reception or contact world new jersey.  got out star tac pants pocket, turned on ( can't leave on due sound takes ), , got nothing.  turned out painless experience me learn how use cell phone. didn't work in new jersey, end of story.

 

so, got cell phone of own , not girlfriend talk me ( left me , took dog years ago ). got cell phone cause hardly ever use land line , cable tv bundled isp in new residence ( state called minnesota ).. , getting rid of phone , tv cable saves me $60 / mo.

 

so go local pharmacy , called cvs. weird reason sell including lawn mowers , cars , food , electronics , on... , somewhere in corner of store pharmacy.

 

i got - called 'throw away' phone called " trac phone ' or that. got scratch , sniff card gave me secret number put 'minutes' phone. gives me until december use minutes , guess that's end of , have throw phone away...get new one.

luckily phone cost $50.  200 minutes got scratch card cost $ 20 ???? forget ...

 

this phone has sorts of stuff in menus.. don't use. browser ? ? email ? ? text messages ? ??  trying learn how use phone , @ menus when feel it...just see if there's fun learn.

 

i haven't set 'accounts' anyone. i'm afraid touch phone when makes noise or vibrates etc.. cause have no idea happen if touch it.  dread idea somehow lose 200 minutes because answered call russian massage parlor trolling around idiot me answer call , ( automatically ) " sign" massage never get.

 

so here new plan when comes minutes , cell phone. think others have adapted many of tactics... if judge of gazillion people have had cell phones during time when have refused succumb dick tracy mentality of bad reception.

 

a) dont answer phone unless see number recognize you

     1. care about

     2. think add value life

 

b) if reception gets bad hang up. don't waste time bleeding minutes ( time $$ ) saying stupid stuff like, " can't hear ". hang up.

 

c) if reception bad blame other person no matter what...and hang up.

 

d) dont give out phone number anyone.. including parents, grandparents, sisters , brothers , cousins, neices, nephews etc... if haven't been in touch add value life ( eg. give things ), write them off useless.

 

e) dont give out phone number really friend unless say, " if ever call me talk stupid stuff, important not important me... kill "

 

f ) not give phone number commercial entity.. bank, landlord, utility company, car mechanic, doctor, etc.... never ever give out phone number... instead say, " i'm sorry , don't have phone, give me phone number , i'll in touch ! "....

 

if sneaky reason of technology ( caller id etc ) phone number ...fall letter a....don't answer phone.

 

i have noticed person gave number ( human on earth has phone number @ point in time ) sent me text message. have no clue how did that. see mssg says " got email, been super busy, respond tonight "..... , cost me 30 seconds of minutes stupid mssg.  read mssg took 2 seconds.. paid 30 seconds !!!!

 

so new rules comms....and ready pay more , more ( or whatever ).. what's commercial ???? " more ! "  ???

 

 

ps.

this 'crowd' of new young people fuel adobe's future.  hmmmm.. guess ?
