Thread: Flash playback very slow in Gnome Classic

hi everyone,

i've been using ubuntu 12.04 week , has been smooth besides playing flash videos...i chose use gnome classic (no effects) instead of unity. problem i'm having when viewing flash video (such on youtube) can't view fullscreen without slowing down crawl...infact videos make whole system choppy doesn't when i'm using unity or gnome 3. i've installed flash-aid plugin didn't help.

quick system specs are:

intel i5 2500k 3.3ghz processor
amd radeon 6870 1gb video card
8gb ddr3 memory

don't understand why flash practically unplayable in gnome classic not unity? issue has been driving me nuts because if weren't problem, ubuntu perfect me.

i found out problem...incase in same situation, reinstalled ubuntu , chose not install ati drivers when "install additional drivers" popped on first boot , works perfect! guess ati drivers radeon 6870 not work (even though worked in precise beta!).
