hi there guys!! need install ubuntu 12.04 on hp laptop dv6 6119tx.. 64 bit laptop!! happens after installation processor fan on ...laptop gets heated...cannot dim brightness...functions keys not work volume , other stuff... have amd radeon 6490 1gb graphic card!! have tried installing proprietory drivers not work.. appreciate if smeone can me out need ubuntu , sick , tired of windows!! thank you!! robbie. overheating bad, on laptop don't have option of using aftermarket cooler or water cooling ... ubuntu 12.04 supposed include kernel fixes sandy bridge processors address overheating problem. but, looks didn't address yours. try looking using jupiter: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1854019 know, if doesn't work, , keep using ubuntu, run risk of burning out laptop processor. so, how "sick , tired" -- if laptop turns "electric brick"? ...

i reinstalled kids system xubuntu 12.04 , hit nfs issue didn't have earlier ubuntu/xubuntu's. i'm exporting home directories server (192.168.1.30) client machines. on server, /etc/exports file contains: /srv/lauren 192.168.1.51(rw) correct address of client system. on client, fstab entry is: 192.168.1.30:/srv/lauren /home/lauren nfs defaults 0 0 result desktop shows none of files in desktop folder on server, can still use filemanager read them!! 'df' on client shows: gvfs-fuse-daemon 66649856 18586240 44677888 30% /home/lauren/.gvfs 192.168.1.30:/srv/lauren 66649856 18586240 44677888 30% /home/lauren files visible in specific directories. hi everyone!   i have ton of adjustment brushes, trying organize them.   i used ones @ top, when have renamed files on harddrive, doesn't seem make difference, seem in order added in?   contributing whole mess seem share same folder graduated filters.   it seems lr5 scrolling down target/button area has gotten smaller has been more difficult brushes @ bottom of list.   anyone know how organize these ?   any or tips appreciated!   love customizable mini toolbar favorite brushes, or allow assignable keyboard shortcuts.   thanks! jason simple answer? nope... hi     i have somehow accidently hidden close, minimize , expand circles in photoshop cs6 on mac , everytime want minimize photoshop have go window > arrange > minimize instead of clicking circle , it's driving me potty.   i have tried tab key, 'f' key, view > screenmode , window > arrange , none of them have worked , cant find online.   can please help?   thank you! did posisbly hit f key. there 3 modes change screen mode, button in bottom right of tools palette. hi attempting follow truecrypt install instructions on site. problem i'm having gpg(i'm trying verify authenticity of download). seems i'm lacking means import public key signing. there thread( http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...hlight=firegpg ) describing how import bit dated (2008) , none of 4 methods suggested work. firegpg no longer supported/available, gpa package cannot located apt-get, seahorse doesn't seem know importing public key , terminal method returns 'total number processed 0' result. appreciated. code: gpg --recv-keys --keyserver pgp.mit.edu f0d6b1e0 from there run: code: gpg --verify <nameoffile.sig. unless sign key key can't trusted. care seeing if signature matches key , tell whether or not.
