okay, have dilemma. 1 of things simple when explained, @ moment in time has me scratching head.   here have vector image. pink stroke cut path software use @ work recognises , cuts. i'm creating website 1 of these large scroll page animations appearing while scrolling. there 5 edge animate composition on page , scroll stuff working. each composition has 50 100 layers.   the first attempt use stage "stop" method define animation time on scroll event. worked nicely on tests when colleague gave me final compositions there ~10 symbols (each justified). simple stage.stop(time) method symbols not playing added this: https://gist.github.com/idflood/1d3400c8e732d1df497d   this script loops each symbols, , call stop method on them needed. works, showed 1 problem; the stop method slow . with chrome i've found stop method caused frames calculated in ~230ms , play method below ~32ms (most less 16ms).   so i'm investigating way use play method. scrolling down it's simple calling stage.play(), scroll it's more problematic. stage.playreverse method doesn't update symbols. try listening stage update event, find if stage playing in reverse, see if...

we've gotten feedback features spill suppression built after effects aren't adequate. we'd know more.   what using spill suppression? else have tried, , shortcomings of other things you've tried? todd, built in spill suppression effect in after effects upgraded work in 32-bit, good.  it's tool when dealing blue screen.  however, greenscreen, lacking.   it appear after effect's default spill suppression tool uses hue ranges target spill.  not work green spill.  there better, more anaylitical algorithms deal green.  although in instances, keylight's spill suppression works wonders on shot, many times not.  notorious amoung after effects users causing excessive noise during despill operation.  however, cleaner source footage, less problems keylight causes in area.   even beyond that, there alot of other spill tools used vfx artist in fusion , nuke, ae not offer.  inspiration when designed spill slayer .  love using ae doing comp...

so laptop hp dv6227cl. it's 6 years old, , used run 10.04 (64-bit) on 0 problems, worked great out of box. has not been case ubuntu 12.04 (64-bit). not sure if should split these different threads here's of problems i've been having. 1. after installing nvidia-current (or post-release) drivers, unity 3d + compiz crashes on login, , goes black screen. 2. wifi doesn't work.
