i made selection magic wand (with anti-alias box checked), made new layer, , dumped color in paint bucket (anti-alias box checked). but, edges not anti-aliased. running photoshop cc on mac os 10.6.8, , problem occurred in .tiff file , .psd file. can't imagine missing here. help! probably because of selection. fill can not blend beyond selection , therefore gives hard edge. what can feather selection can done in refine edge dialog box or menu select>modify> feather or select>modify>expand. using expand push out selection anti-aliasing can work better. hello, have installed kubuntu 12 lts. after grub boot screen appears correctly system not start properly. freezes on empty grey screen. tryed system rescue install dvd freezes too. had choose nomodset when installed kubuntu boot live cd otherwise froze well. using nomodeset managed use live cd install without issue. maybe there relation between fact not boot normaly live cd or use live cd make system rescue , fact cannot boot @ (after grub pops normally... s not boot loader issue). looks in both cases system not want load... suggestions ? thanks! i had add nomodeset grub boot command in grub press "e" edit how boot system add nomodeset after quiet splash. save changes edit grub file. hi,   i completed project , published mp4 , widescreen youtube hd. project perfect!  went in make handful of minor changes- text edits , increase volume on 1 slide. each time publish project, different random issue: audio skips, skips in software simulation, , "header" graphic on top 3 inches of screen disappearing. when publish again, 1 random issue no longer there, instead different issue. just built 3 amd a8-3870k based itx machines asrock a75m-itx mobo , 8 gb ram. problem: screen turns off part of power savings, started noticing noisier fan sound machine. turned on system monitor , left computer go screen off state. found cause high fan noise. please see screenshot shows 1 core being tied 100 % cpu usage. in screenshot core (in blue) tied 100% until moved mouse bring use. thats when cpu usage comes down. reason this? 3 machines show same problem. 2 systems have fresh installs of ubuntu 12.04 64 bit , 1 upgraded ubuntu 11.10 64 bit.any ideas fellow ubuntueers? attached images screenshot 2012-05-14 20:48:20.png (64.4 kb, 20 views) what other system specs? have checked commands top or htop see process cloging cpu core? i'm using persistent live usb try out 12.04. i'll around installing soon, since seems work enough, have 1 question: if install software onto persistent usb, software installed along os when that? fresh install, not upgrade. private files installed programs stored in casper-rw file or partition, overlayed original file system. persistent (remain after reboot or poweroff). not possible update/upgrade kernel. think biggest disadvantage compared installed system takes lot of time @ reboot or poweroff write live system usb drive, , if have not patience or time enough, system corrupt, , have start clean casper-rw file or partition again. edit: flashing led indicator makes easier wait long enough if want run persistent live or portable system, can 'install' normal way, usb drive instead of internal hdd. can update/upgrade without limitation (except size of usb drive). ...
