whenever open bridge error message cache not being able read , should try purging central cache in cache preferences.   i've looked @ cache preferences , purged cache suggested, message comes every time open bridge. gratefully received.   cheers, cathie your central cache file seems corrupted , ave delete manual. regarding screenshot seem on mac. per osx 10.7 user library hidden, if don't have user library in view use menu go in finder option key reveal library.   quit bridge, go user library (user (your username) / library / caches/ adobe/ bridge csxx (your version) , inhere plug in file , folder called cache.   drag both files outside of library (preferable trash) , restart bridge. creates both deleted files again cache folder empty , need recache files again (takes bit of time) should ok. hi , there footage taken using cannon 5d , sequence created same (using prest cannon). after completing film, want create pal formated dvd. tried using encore not give best quality video, creates choppy frames.   workflow have used simple i.e.   created sequence matching source clip settings (23.976 fps) edited film done cc , grading rendered linked encore - dynmic link selected pal format added subtitiles built project   output not statisfactory -   please suggest best way it. you recorded in 23,976 , converted 25 fps, hence choppy frames. i leave ntsc same framerate. if dvd europe, no problem playing it. hi all, since installing 12.04 machine crashing pretty regularly. it doesn't crash when in particular - @ odd times i can move mouse pointer, desktop unresponsive clicks, stops (browser loading icon's freeze, video freezes, etc) if i'm watching video can still hear audio playing i can switch terminal , things seem work fine. when first noticed happening after upgrade, did clean install (kept old home partition) same thing happening. question is... logs should looking @ narrow down problem? in advance, levi i have same problem...and tried installing upgrade package suggested 12.04, , stalled , crashed way through. it's worse since happened. hoping solve crash problem upgrades...but yeah, can barely use os. hi all, hope can here. after having working ubuntu desktop 11.04 running raid6 12x2tb drives upgraded 11.10 12.04 , screwed everything. tried many things recover raid screwed more decided scrap lot , start fresh. wish left alone start with. since had prob 12.04 did fresh install of 11.10. wiped raid off drives installed mdadm created raid , waited build completed. did have boot issues explained in here fixed there solution. normal fresh install no data. started copying on data backup , left on night. come in next morning , notice raid in action of checking(not degraded) in disk utility. checked cat /proc/mdstat , showed checking , had 25000+ (however has dropped under 1000 again) minutes complete. along time guess still copying data across. question is: 1: how did raid automatically start check process? there default schedule setting check raids on new installs can turn off? 2: can stop checking mid way through , how? (as still copying , has slowed down...
