Thread: Installing 12.04 on SSD to have dual boot : not seeing windows!
i have ssd main hd. installed windows 7 on it. had created partitions reserved unallocated 15gb ubuntu. windows works without problem. took iso of whold ssd backup. brend new pc new windows 7 64 bit cd. when try install ubuntu 12.04, not see partitions @ on /dev/sda. sees unallocated space. did several internet search got fed looking answer , tired. tried installing ubuntu first when try install windows 7 after, says sees disk being gpt partition. went restore /dev/sda windows on , trying install ubuntu 12.04 sudo fdisk -l warning: gpt (guid partition table) detected on '/dev/sda'! util fdisk doesn't support gpt. use gnu parted. disk /dev/sda: 60.0 gb, 60022480896 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 7297 cylinders, total 117231408 sectors units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes i/o size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes disk identifier: 0xa53626ba device ...
