i have upgraded 12.04 , have tried gnome shell, gnome classic, unity, , unity 2d. all, unity work fine. if log in using unity, window decorations, dock , notification strip @ top of screen missing. aside that, can still use keyboard shortcuts launch terminal, etc. have nvidia's proprietary drivers installed , working. unity support test shows system 3d compatible. suggestions? perhaps nvidia card not capable of running unity3d; card it? so has been happening more , more lately. started week ago. i'm using ae cs5.5 on windows 7 amd comp. first time render out project renders without sound. if duplicate render in queue without changing settings, includes audio fine. i'm using same settings have been projects last 3 months. quicktime h264 max quality. make sure audio output checked.   also, black frame @ end of video file isn't in composition. have sound annoying black frame, , don't have black frame don't have sound either. changing nothing between each of these renders.   i have sneaking suspecion may hardware issue, can't sure. could simple media cache issues. purge caches , see if makes difference.   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe

when turned on printer first time after installing xubuntu 12.04 printing utility automatically installed canon-i550 driver, when trying print acted working blank pages came out. (in xubuntu 11.10) driver search dialog come up, there no driver listed i550 (closest i560) choose canon s800, discovered long ago driver called in japan, , worked perfectly. so... found out how driver search dialog going , chose s800, reinstalled printer prints pages text large , stretched out , prints small part of page. printer settings fine; page preview shows normal page, won't work right! other computer runs xubuntu 11.10 prints fine, , i've compared printer settings , identical in 11.10 , 12.04 (the printer named 'canon-i550' using s800 driver). thing can think of problem because of newer kernel? can me? i'm having hard time finding out how downgrade 3.0.0- kernel, if problem.
