i i'm trying add narration project using premiere 11. have made recommended ajustments under preferences, audio hardware, asio input , output. begins recording process time line , saved project assets. there no sound when replaying file. there no visible audio on yellow-greem narration time line. missing step somewhere? i've tried sennheiser head set mic, wireless mic , hand mic - plugged directly pc no luck - have added narration same equipment other programs - microphones in working order - appreciated. thanks! i have created pertty neat accordion on website. see below.  have 1 issue.  when expand visible gaps between buttons.    when expand accordion there negitive space between sections. as happens in real world (i.e., outside of adobe's r&d laboratories in north pole), client wants so-called "media managed" copy of piece. i.e., want bits of media used, handles, can make changes in future.   in fcp or avid, has been breeze past 20 years or so.   now, premiere ...   i go "project manager." right? that's i'm supposed do?   it shows me every bloody sequence in project, pre-selected, in tiny little window, with no way deselect them except going through 1 one. (am missing something?)   anyway, select 1 timeline need export.   i choose 30 frame handles. source footage xdcam.   and ... serious? premiere cannot trim long gop media? serious?   fcp has been able since, like, 20th century. avid earlier.   how can premiere not able transcode media??!?!?!?   please tell me i'm missing something! for record, fcp hasn't been around 20 years (but avid has)...and fcp couldn't media manage until 2004.  still, that's 10 years....

hi all,   i administer large environment many hundreds of desktop clients. software versions of historically way behind rest of world seems. i'll apologise in advancde posting pushing 10.3 out in middle of 2013...   i have been asked ensure @ least 10.3 flash player rolled out xp machines (yep - still kicking xp machines around). has been deployed using msi / gpo, wmi filter ensure being run on xp machines. few users accross different locations have, 1 reason or another, got 11.x installed. gpo asking them each time allow 10.3 installed.   using policy, machines versions prior 10.3 receive 10.3 version install silently. if version above 10.3 exists, causing headache, , can't life of me find out how go determining flash version in wmi filter ignore endpoints on newer version. of if there's simpler way achieve want.   any / suggestions appreciated. transferred 3 catalogs old computer, pse 9, new computer, pse 11.  result 3 sets of photo files, different trees.  did previously, put files in 1 place, reconnected 1 catalog , tags messed up.  wrong tag pictures, not acceptable!  have 6000 pictures in files date.  many files have pictures sorted more 1 catalog.  reconnecting brought wrong pictures catalogs.  had delete , start over.  how end picture files in 1 place - pictures - , have 3 catalogs accessing correct file.  worked great in pse 9! i seem have tamed cpu load when editing video files.during pb when timeline hits still image sequence, however, cpu spiking @ around 80 -100%. should create separate sequence each still image, render it, import rendered sequence main project? seems insanely round way of doing things if allows me move forward...   i'm hoping there better way, however.   i'm making progeress in efforts learn premiere, using, "an editirs guide.." "vtc" , , "creative edge"  forum still great resource in advance. how large images?   if importing image sequence, don't need full size images.   if larger 1920x1080, use photoshop action scale them down separate directory pc won't have work hard. hey all! tried toying around preset manager in brush pop-out window try create own brush palette, , without seemingly obvious cause, pen pressure library came installation stopped working. when try choose now, gives message:   "could not load brushes because file not compatible version of photoshop." this strange, however, because working fine prior (2 years or so). came elements when bought intuous 4 tablet, it's compatable.   i've tried restarting computer , that, deleting elements preferences file, haven't had luck. i'm using elements 8 on windows 7 sp1, , date. don't know did break it, if me working again appreciated! thanks! i using cs3 when got "licensing" error.  sole owner/user.  followed criptic instructions contact admin, that's me.  went online registration number, uninstalled , tried reinstall.  however, "shared" components reinstalled, other components, including cs3 error each, , no detail given on error was.  tried reinstall cs3 component , again, shared components installed, , criptic error on cs3 component.  tried third time after making rebooting , making sure no other programs running.  again same error.  suggestions? hi george kruse , please let know system configuration.   regards, romit sinha More discussions in Downloading, Installing, Setting Up adobe

hi,   at point in time beleive lr rc5.2 introducing ca's appear didn't before.   i noticed there couple of other threads lens corrections , have noticed there ca's (purple fringing) appearing in high contrast areas since 5.2rc. camera/lens pretty common combination of canon eos mark iii , ef24-105mm f4l usm lens.   haven't had previous problems lens on either mark ii or mark iii can go , see there ca's appearing.   please note tested these images other raw processors , there no ca's.   don. lightroom cannot "cause" happen. suspicions noticing there before, or else lightroom's display has become more accurate. however, that's opinion. yesterday turned on system receive notice adobe creative cloud ("the new applications manager) needed updates premiere pro cs6, dreamweaver cs6, fireworks cs6, flash cs6, illustrator cs6, in design cs6, photoshop cs6, , prelude cs6.  based on little research seems these updates tied adobe extension manager 6.0.7 referenced in error logs opened after failures.  information on adobe support site indicate recent cs6 , cc updates of extension manager match timeline in july.    i attempted use adobe support advisor further understand problem gave me following response:   system information : operating system = os x 10.8.4 (12e55) locale = en inspection not identify issues. please contact adobe support further assistance. http://www.adobe.com/support   obviously not helpful, wondered if last extension manager update required download patch support area , manually load on system...?  tried manually loading aem 6.0.7 , consistently fails.  tried rebooting...

i have occasional system lockups (12.04x64) decided try troubleshooting... won't lock days might lock twice in 1 day.. doesn't seem heat related it's possible.. figured possibly related graphics card because lock when trying desktop while xscreensaver running.. other times when flash video streaming within firefox.. it's hard beyond because have lot going on... video card old radeon x1650 (256mb). running fine before 2 lcd monitors hooked up, except these occasional lockups.. have video card tried install again, nvidia 7950gt (512mb).. couldn't working when first installed ubuntu in march, reinstalled ubuntu 12.04 older ati card then.. couldn't nvidia card working time either. tried different driver sets including latest .53 doesn't detect main monitor (calls crt) , gives me 1024 resolution , second monitor has white screen. after hours of reading suggestions , messing it, , reading other similar bugfests, gave up. have plugged...

i've created simple form, using acrobat pro 9 / livecycle designer on windows pc. form has few radio buttons, text entry boxes, , drop-down selection box. has place shows current date.   the form works fine on pc. i've emailed myself , opened on ipad in adobe reader, , form appears, it's static. date blank , none of controls work.   adobe's description reader ipad app says works forms.   am doing wrong, or what's problem? if created form livecycle designer, it's xfa form, different acroform create acrobat. mobile versions of reader not support xfa forms, have support acroforms. hi community: have dell precision 390 80gb hard drive has ubuntu 12.04 installed across entire partition, , 40gb drive standard storage. things pretty until connected 40gb drive had fonts stored on it. did transfer fonts , forth few times 40gb 80gb , again, didn't know best place put them, in folder on unity desktop while. there thousands upon thousands of them. installed inkscape (graphic design program) , fonty python font manager program. began putting font lists , installing them. @ point noticed computer no longer handle more 1 program @ time. calling processes list not work, not pop up. shut whole computer off manually , restart. additional info: other additional programs installed did not come ubuntu include screensaver (also kept on desktop easy accessibility) , compiz config. desktop cube not activated @ moment. started of in 11.04, , upgraded 12.04. have never added more ram came computer @ 1 point 1 of 40gb drives began fail...
