hey guys,  im not expert shooting video , understanding different codecs/presets , such using smaller canon vixia hf-g10 , dragged files local disk media browser in premiere.. if @ timeline below see every video "layer" has accompanying audio layer.  opened same project , tried dragging same existing files media browser timeline , not in audio layer.  audio still plays cannot make changes audio @ all.  if @ last 2 items below same file "00030.mts".  first 1 shows content in audio layer , second not.   is there setting may have been changed on part?   click a1 on left until turns light gray v1. i'm trying out following code: code: lpr -# 1 -p dell testnew.gif and can tell gets spooled print command: code: lpq -p dell then disappears. nothing gets printed. now, manually print image image viewer on desktop gui (same user) , prints fine. ideas behavior? i thought lpr doesn't process files @ all, passes them transparently printer. unless printer can understand gif data, may not know do. when using lpr, think normal pass gif file through "filter" program convert whatever print stream printer understands. try printing plain text file instead, , see if works. like: code: lpr -# 1 -p dell /etc/fstab actually, i'm guessing lpr doesn't have smarts convert file print stream, think it's worth trying print text file work out problem lies. i can't change "link relative to" setting in site setup window. changes in other settings applied, setting restored after saving it.   i asked adobe support, , tried faqs, reinstall installer. nothing has been changed.   this happened few weeks ago. before that, set (i set "site root"). have change file pathes manually. i gave problem, hope have clue this.   i tried editing file "~/library/application support/adobe/dreamweaver cc/cloudpref/adobedreamweaversettingssitedefs.xml". i changed "relativeto" in localinfo directive, dw ignores or overwrites file after launch.   i guess has been caused since cloud sync implemented. if providing site relative links need provide correct http address when setting site.  case cs6 , have tested make sure case.  suspect should still case dw-cc can't check because don't use it.   what happens when use links relative document?  have tried it? im encountering weird bug on android (i think every android device, i've tested, droid bionic, galaxy s3, nexus, galaxy tab)   in -app.xml, have .   <rendermode>gpu</rendermode> <softkeyboardbehavior>pan</softkeyboardbehavior>     in application, have many textfields. when give focus textfield, correctly , pans should. once softkeyboard hides when craziness starts happening....   everywhere click inside application, air thinks i'm clicking 30-40 pixels below that. every rollover/ textfield/ interactive, respond if touch 30-40 pixels above actual hit area.   it's somehow, when application did "pan", distance panned distance have put finger above each button interact it.   this not happen if change   <softkeyboardbehavior>none</softkeyboardbehavior>   but dont panning....   this happens in gpu mode, in cpu mode, using none or pan works correctly expected.     now lets see watch view count post ...

i'm running ubuntu 12.04 64-bit , i'm having problems using hdmi out on thinkpad edge 13". when connect laptop 1080p tv using hdmi, ubuntu recognizes screen, colours way off. i've included picture show mean. unfortunately camera on phone not good, can see, colours on laptop , hdtv different. black bars green. window have open on hdtv synaptic. white area on synaptic isn't white should be, has kind of pink cast on it. never had these colour issues windows 7, not hardware problem. also, have overscan issue when using tv. screen area goes beyond of actual tv screen. in windows fix this, can't find options in ubuntu. result, buttons outside screen area. also, despite being 24" tv, display settings identifies 23" screen. according system info i'm running intel ironlake mobile procesor. i'm not sure kind of information people need me solve problem, let me know commands should rund , post output of if needed. i've run ...

i have a problem the product activation adobe acrobat 9 standard . it is a failed hard disk to pc and was not able to deactivate license adobe . now i replaced the hard drive and reinstalled software but tells me that all licenses are used . is possible to unlock the licenses in use ? thank you. adobe can unlock licenses, normal thing them do. must contact them directly, there no trick or other way. i have installed 12.04 usb stick , applied updates through update manager. system acer aspire d250 (with intel graphics card, no restricted driver needed) issue if close lid (no matter lid action set to) screen turns off, , shows short "flicker" if move mouse. can terminal ctrl-alt-f1, , screen works fine there. workarounds tried: restart x server lctrl-prsrc-k - not resolve issue, brought login screen screen still flashes when move mouse suspend , resume system - no change in behavior reboot system: (as expected) work, isn't of workaround! suspend before closing lid - works of course. happy try workarounds or ideas fix issue, need suggestions! did change settings in power management application? my current workstation build 5 years old. find still  fast enough don't fell itch rebuild yet.   i have 8gb ram, i've been wondering if upping 16gb give significant performance boost. problem need 4 4gb ddr2 memory sticks, way more expensive corresponding ddr3.   so, 16gb noticable improvement? or, maybe replace 2 of current sticks,  12gb? if it's help, have dedicated 125gb wd velociraptor scratch disk. depends on files work with, unless use large files hundreds of layers or use merge hdr time, it's unlikely see difference. other stuff end 1 way or in ps' page file. perhaps using history brush/ history states , layer comps lot might benefit more ram...   mylenium More discussions in Photoshop General Discussion adobe

i adapt ps workflow every photograph want print. so, i'm thinking not use develop module in lr. create smart objects in ps , develop job via acr. question ... there difference between these 2 conversions point of view of printing quality.   1. linear prophoto (lr work space profile) > printer profile (if print directly lr, adjustments done in lr) 2. prophoto rgb (1,8 gamma embedded, profile of tiff files ps generates) > printer profile (if print in lr or in ps, adjustments done in acr , ps, no additional adjustments in lr after saving tiff file)   i think there no visible difference between these 2 options, learn thoughts of color pro, color , tone quality of printed image.   thanks lot. i've never had use lightroom digital pics, cannot comment on usage in type of workflow.  outside looking in, think there no difference in either workflows mentioned.  you've calibrated output device, fits either scenario well.  try printing out test images , see if ...

i've tried 2 clean installs of 12.04 (desktop/64bit). both on same machine/same hardware (two different harddrives). both installs went error-free, after completion, onboard ethernet connection shows in network manager, installed sprint gsm broadband modem, installed broadcom bcm4311 802.11.b/g wlan not, ie: no "wireless network" entries. "hardware drivers" shows broadcom sta wireless "blob" driver loaded , active. lspci shows card correctly. lsmod shows wl module loaded. second install added mate repo , installed mate (i detest unity/gnome3), , mate's network manager doesn't show wireless entries either. dell laptop these 2 installs done on, runs ubuntu 10.04/64bit flawlessly same hardware seems borked on 12.04.. since upgrade systems on lts versions, , clean installs of new os version, install apps via markings file old lts install, i'd hoped going painless install i've experienced 8.04 , 10.04.. sure hope ...

i running ubuntu 12.04 in dual boot win xp. other known issue infrequent mouse/keyboard freeze-up experience precise has been good. morning when computer finished booting precise called terminal , greeted red border , above "root terminal". had not done out of ordinary in logging on (didn't logon root). entered "exit" when called still root terminal. idea inadvertently did? rebooted , got regular terminal. my guess: 12.04 still buggy. minimize,maximize,close buttons disappeared while today. hopefully, these problems won't happen again precise gets new updates.
