hey, hey, have ubuntu server x86_64 10.04 kernel 2.6.32-28-server. on him have few novell mounts made ncpfs (2.2.6-7). problem im encountering 1 of mounts hangs reason , cant ls inside mount cause freezes console im doing , cant kill process. know if there`s way know whats happening since logs don't me much... i created samba share using samba server configuration tool. have tried connecting share through both windows 7 , wii. however, not working should. - if change access allow access specific user, windows 7 prompt password; however, after entering password, access denied. - if change access allow access everyone, can browse share using windows. however, receive error if try open file. same thing happens on wii. samba share had on 11.04 working fine, did complete reinstall when upgraded 12.04, , cannot work now. i looked samba logs , found there single error causing issue, if allow access everyone: passdb\lookup_sid.c:1667(get_primary_group_sid) failed find unix acount wiicheck_sam_security:make_server_info_sam() failed 'nt_status_no_such_user' there samba user created named "wii", not user account named "wii". thought samba didn't require user account created in order create ...

after long time using pse 11 sucessfully have found when open programme organiser 'window' has moved top of macbook screen , unable move down don't have access top of 'window' help? have menu bar , can operate of programme through that. editor , full screen view normal not organiser. go system prefs>displays , set screen resolution down bit. should able reposition window. afterwards, set resolution up.   if using 2 display setup, other option turn on other display again , move there. i received access font , file syncing service cc couple days ago.  began moving lot of files on creative cloud folder , began syncing fine.   last night, after restart, noticed files stopped syncing unknown reason.  still have 'clients' folder in creative cloud files folder, desktop app giving me generic window of "to start saving files creative cloud..." window though have files in cc folder.  see screenshot attached.  shows have big folder , 1 jpg image in cc files folder.     one thing did notice if go preferences -> files tab, shows folder location home directory, , not cc files folder.  have tried several times change folder location cc files folder, every time i'm prompted move dialog , when click on move, popup turns black , says "moving creative cloud file folder..." after completion files folder resorts os x home directory.  i'm not sure if that's right or not.   i have no idea going on here , why of sudden stopped working. ...

i have secondary monitor connected acer aspire 8930 laptop. graphics card nvidia geforce 9600m gt (1gb). setup worked fine in previous incarnations of ubuntu; installed recommended nvidia driver via "additional drivers" , able connect , use samsung monitor through hdmi output. upgrade 12.04 (64 bit) has rendered impossible. switch on secondary monitor, x server (and entire system) crashes. problem identical in both unity (3d , 2d) , gnome (gdm). is, believe, nvidia drivers, connecting monitor without nvidia drivers installed not cause crash. in case, cloning screen work fine. suggest problem lie nvidia drivers, , not example hdmi port or that. however, isn't feasible solution, require nvidia drivers installed (video chopped carrots in casserole when played without nvidia drivers, , playing hd content out of question). have tried both nvidia drivers available under "additional drivers"; problem identical both. have clean installed ...

my pse9 organizer wont start. when select organizer welcome screen goes desktop. i'm running vista home premium sp2. product working ok until week ago wont open. i have renamed psa file , status.dat file no help i have tried catalog manager ctrl-shift on selecting organizer welcome screen goes desktop. the editor appears work can't access organizer there either--nothing happens. any ideas me??? thanks i have same problem today, pse8.  worked earlier today.  tried "live chat" , couldn't me, sent me here... one of daily programs nixnote. forgot how did in previous installation nixnote put unity, right name/icon. nixnote offers icons (bold, italic, left or right alignments, ... )in middle of screen , if not fit screen >> @ right end. me >> not thing. missing commands, have un-maximize window, , enlarge right, move left outside of screen , enlarge window again right till can see missing command icons. idea how can fixed? some strange changes happened: after started nixnote command line, got right nixnote icon , placed in unity bar. locked , opens if double click on it. , not in list of applications - when use alt-tab switch application, nor ticked in unity. running , can if minimize aplication, on top of it. how can fix that? hello, i'm using ubuntu 10.10, , ip address lookup stopped working. can ping ip addresses when ping google example says: ping: unknown host google.com although can ping google using router's ping tool, seems error in communicating between ubuntu , router (d-link 2640u). tried changing dns server both in router configuration , in /etc/resolv.conf doesn't work either (although can ping dns server). have windows on same machine , ip lookup works fine there. , what's more weird works period of time without me changing anything. fixing appreciated, thanks! need change value "nameserver" inside /etc/resolv.conf Forum The Ubuntu Forum Community Ubuntu Official Flavours Support Networking & Wireless [ubuntu] DNS problem Ubuntu

yesterday upgraded free revel revel premium. site still looks same. how long take before can expect upgrade take place? steven-   from can see, subscribed. site not different. will, however, have unlimited upload capability, ability invite others collaborative users if wish.
